Weight Management

< Back to Self Help

If you would like support to lose weight and improve your health, there are a range of services available. The service that is most appropriate for you depends on your Body Mass Index (BMI), your medical conditions and your personal circumstances.

All weight management services require that you:

  • Meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Are ready and motivated to make lifestyle changes.
  • Are committed to taking part in the programme.

Please note that different services may have additional exclusion criteria.

If you are of Asian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Black African or African-Caribbean heritage

BMI thresholds are reduced by 2.5 due to increased health risks at lower BMI levels.
